HOLLY SPRINGS - Rethie Reliford, 80, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. She was born Oct. 21, 1927, in Benton County to Alex McKay and Cassine Rhine. She was a member of Hopewell No. 1 M.B. Church in Holly Springs and a member of the choir, Mothers Board, kitchen committee and Missionary Board. She retired from the Holly Springs School District after 22 1/2 years. She married Willie Gene Reliford on Nov. 5, 1943.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hopewell No. 1 M.B. Church in Holly Springs with the Rev. Leroy James officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Holly Springs. Grant funds to expand RCC nursing program

Riverside City College will add one full-time faculty member and 10 students to its registered nursing program thanks to a two-year grant from the state.

RCC was among 18 colleges that shared $2.7 million in funds under the Song-Brown program administered by the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development.
